Hair Extensions for Greenacres Clients
Greenacres is roughly 35 minutes north on I-95. Most clients hop on the highway at Forest Hill Boulevard or 10th Avenue North, drive past Palm Beach Gardens, and exit at Indiantown Road into Tequesta. Morning runs are easy. Afternoon traffic can stretch the drive closer to 45 minutes between 4pm and 6pm. We see Greenacres clients regularly for hand-tied installs, K-tip placements, and Klix maintenance, and the drive is part of why they book the bigger appointments back-to-back.
Why Greenacres Clients Make the Drive
Hair extensions look easy on Instagram. They aren't. The wrong method, the wrong density, or the wrong placement leaves you with bald patches at six months, traction headaches at month two, and a $2,000 hole in your wallet. We've seen all of it. Most extension corrections we do are from clients whose original install was tape-ins put in too tight or beaded wefts placed where they couldn't be hidden.
Alicia Vermeulen handles most extension work in our salon. She is certified in hand-tied wefts, IBE (Invisible Bead Extensions), Klix, K-tips, and V-Light. Eighteen-plus years behind the chair. Continuous training with each method's certification body. The reason that matters: each method has different placement rules, different removal protocols, and different aftercare. A stylist who only knows one method will recommend that method to everyone, even when it's not right for your hair type.
Our matchmaking is the differentiator. Fine and density-thin? Hand-tied or IBE. Layered cut? K-tips. Need length added fast for an event? Klix. Sensitive scalp? V-Light. Bianney can also color match the hair to your existing tone before install so the blend is invisible. More breakdown is in our extensions method guide.
What We Offer
Hand-tied weft extensions, K-tip (keratin tip) extensions, IBE (Invisible Bead Extensions), Klix extensions, V-Light extensions, extension color matching, full installs, move-up appointments, and removal services. We also do extension repair and corrections from other salons. Full menu lives on the services page, and the focused extensions page covers each method in detail.
The Hand-Tied Install Process
Hand-tied wefts are sewn into rows of small beads anchored along your scalp. They lay flatter than tape-ins, last longer than K-tips, and put less tension on individual hair strands than older methods. The install takes three to four hours for a full set. The hair itself is real human hair from our preferred vendor, color-matched at consultation.
Move-up appointments happen every six to eight weeks. The hair stays in for nine to 12 months total before the wefts need replacement, depending on how well you maintain them. Move-ups run shorter than the original install, around 90 minutes to two hours.
Aftercare matters more with extensions than with any other service. We send you home with a loop brush, a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, and written instructions. The biggest mistakes we see: sleeping with wet hair, washing daily, and skipping the loop brush. If you follow the protocol, the hair lasts the full term. If you don't, it'll matt at the bead line within a month.
Pricing & Stylist Levels
Extensions are priced by method, hair length, and density needed. Consultations are free. We always quote the full cost (hair + install + first move-up) at consultation so you can budget. Most full sets fall between $1,200 and $2,500 including hair. Move-ups run separately and price by stylist tier. Cut pricing tiers run from $75 New Talent to $250 Artistic Director, with Senior Stylist at $135 and Master Stylist at $185. Full pricing on the services page and stylist info on the team page.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long do extensions last?
Hand-tied wefts last nine to 12 months with regular move-ups. K-tips last four to six months before re-tip. Klix is a temporary clip-style and is reused indefinitely with proper care. IBE typically lasts six to nine months.
Will extensions damage my hair?
Not when installed and removed properly. Damage comes from over-tightened beads, skipped move-ups, or DIY removal. Our placement protocol distributes weight evenly so there's no traction on any single strand.
Can I work out and swim with extensions?
Yes. Tie your hair up before working out. Rinse with fresh water if you swim. Don't sleep in wet extensions. Use the loop brush twice daily. Follow those four rules and the hair holds up.
